.

NO! Y Me vuelve a pegar.

English Version

The situation was as follows: I had just finished the yoga workshop for children that I was scheduled to lead at 10 a.m in the yoga festival in Montevideo. They asked me where I preferred to conduct it, under a tree or inside a tent. I had doubts about the connection that an encounter under an ancient tree in the open air could provide, but I prioritized the audience I was addressing: children who needed support and attention in an environment that wouldn't be distracting. The tent would be perfect.

Once the workshop was over, several parents with their children approached me to greet me. When I started talking to the mother of this girl you see below, she began hitting me, again and again. I looked at her from above and said, "Sweetie, what do you need?" and she hit me again, repeatedly. Her gaze was challenging, and with her hands, she seemed to be trying to provoke me.

Until I lowered myself to her height, looked into her eyes attentively, fell silent, and said, "Sweetie, do you want a hug?" NO! And she hit me again. I looked into her eyes and said, "I want to hug you." I hadn't finished saying it when she was already on top of me, giving me the most heartwarming hug in years. It was exciting to experience what the gaze, love, and a hug can achieve, transcending everything that little girl might have been feeling. This is also called YOGA.
